Wanted Accountant for Seafood Related Company @Kottayam

Experience required: 3 + years

Job Description:

1. Supervising the Accounting team of the client and helping them out with the recording of
day-to-day transactions in SAP HANA (recently implemented in the company)
2. Coordination with the Directors of the company and report any out of the ordinary
instances on a real-time basis
3. Keen focus on compliance ensuring that all requirements laid down by Income tax, TDS &
TCS, GST, EPF, ESI, Labor Welfare Fund, Companies Act, DGFT, etc. are complied with
4. Supporting the monthly book closure activities and preparation and circulation of monthly
MIS reporting deck in the standard format
5. Convening monthly review meetings with the directors to discuss MIS reports in detail and
arriving at the focus areas of business for the subsequent period
6. Assisting the accounting team with preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts
and incorporation of budget v. actual and forecast v. actual reviews in the MIS reporting
deck
7. Coordination with the statutory auditors to ensure completion of year end statutory audit
within the deadlines laid down by the Act
8. Coordination with the Income tax auditors to ensure completion and timely filing of IT audit
reports and ITR
9. Assisting the accounting team with filing of annual reports under GST laws
10. Supervision of the functioning of the Finance & Accounting department thereby ensuring
that the interests of the business and business owners are protected.

Qualifications, skills and competencies we are looking for:

1. Qualified Chartered Accountant with 3+ years of post-qualification experience in
manufacturing/ processing industries
2. Willingness to work out of the client location permanently in Kottayam district
3. In depth knowledge of all compliance related regulations (Income tax/ TDS/ GST/ Companies
Act etc.)
4. Pleasing and amiable personality; Good communication skills in Malayalam and English
5. Ability to work with a group and guide them towards achievement of established goals
6. Exposure to ERP’s is an added advantage – SAP/ Oracle/ Great Plains etc.
7. Good working knowledge of MS Office tools – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
8. Willingness to commit at least 2 years to the position.
