Position Summary/Job Purpose To provide strategic direction to Power finance team by implementing Finance & Accounts policies; advise CFO in relation with policy definition and implementation in the context of Vedanta Group’s interests. Organizational Chart CFO Power (M3) Head Power Finance (M4) Education Qualification | Work-Ex | Desired Attributes o Graduate Degree with a professional qualification in Accounting or Financial Management (ICAI/ ICWAI) o 10+ years of experience in Finance & Accounts functions with atleast 5 years of experience as Head of finance function for a manufacturing company Key Responsibilities • Strategy Planning and review for Power o Control the finance and overall spending for the power business. o Finalize IGAAP accounts, notes to accounts, and management information system (MIS) reporting. o Ensure completeness of month-end closing activities at the consolidated level. o Compile the business plan for the power business, including plant-wise plans. o Complete cost audits and file them with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. o Drive cost reduction projects to contribute to the bottom-line. o Prepare detailed MIS, variance analysis, finance reports, and other management accounting aspects. o Drive automation projects in coordination with the IT department. o Use analytics to generate insights and design strategies for business opportunities. o Liaise with external and internal auditors to ensure compliance and minimize audit observations. o Manage taxation, tax accounts, audits, legal insurance, price risk, and banking for the domain. • Risk Management and Corporate Governance o Ensure functional policies comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry norms. o Manage finance risks and adhere to group philosophies. o Establish checks and balances in the structure and processes. o Ensure statutory compliance with corporate governance requirements. o Provide management assurance and handle statutory compliance. o Maintain relations with external auditors and address their findings and recommendations. • People Development o Foster organizational values and build an amicable work culture. o Support management in succession planning, recruitment, and performance management for the plant. o Motivate the workforce to ensure smooth production. o Design and facilitate internal training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
